Where is John Galt?

Have you seen him lately?
There is no conspiracy. There is no “they” who want to cheat you out of your living wage or your healthcare or your credit security. This is not a fairytale: there is no evil dragon, and you can’t fix this by slaying it – there’s not an easy villain, and there’s not an easy solution. Corporations may be persons under the law, but in real life, they’re massively complex systems of production, and they don’t actually have intentions, good or evil. Taxing them, or taxing the top 1%, won’t give the government enough money to save everyone – or, even, to save you.
So, what is the solution?
I don’t know what the solution is. I know that the current system isn’t working. I know that it’s not that it’s not to guarantee everyone a stipend to live on --- it would be absurd to give an equal amount of money to a high-schooler who thought she was the next Stephanie Meyer and Stephanie Meyer herself – at some level, wages for a service/good need to correspond with market demand for that good.
And, then, if we come up with a solution, how do we get it enacted?
1)     Run for public office (if the Tea Party can do it, so can you!)
2)     Move to another part of the country (are there more jobs available elsewhere?)
3)     Move to another country (vote with your feet and your taxable income)

please, please comment. the only way we're going to find a solution is if everyone contributes.
